Since I began dabbling in clay, I have been fortunate to never want for inspiration. My home studio is located in the Belgrade Lakes area of central Maine where dragonflies, loons, songbirds, moose, and flower gardens are commonplace. My home is just over an hour from the coast of Maine where light houses, starfish, and shells abound.

I am one of four studio advisors of the Colby Pottery Club which averages 100+ students. I help with the loading and firing of our kilns, mixing of the more than 15 glazes (made from scratch) as well as help with the teaching of throwing, hand-building, and glazing of pots.

Each piece of stoneware pottery is fired to 2200 degrees with lead free glazes in a kaleidoscope of color combinations. All pieces are microwave, freezer and dishwasher safe. My pottery is also oven safe (up to 400 degrees), but a word of caution is advised. It is safer to place your pies, casseroles, etc. in a cool oven and let your culinary creation preheat along with the oven to avoid thermal shock to your stoneware.
