Sure enough, judging by the collection of sandwich boards set up around town, this coming weekend is the primo one of the season for craft fairs in our neck of the woods.

Well, there's a wicked awesome pottery open house taking place from 2:00-6:00 right next door to the Temple Academy on the West River Road in Waterville. The only thing separating the academy from my daughter, Meika's, home is the Abenaki Road (that takes you to Winslow, China, etc.). Meika and Andy's home is a white cape with a huge letter "Q" over the garage doors.

There you'll find a few "happenings" that you're unlikely to see at any other craft fair event this season. What you ask? Well, door prizes, incredible refreshments, the pottery pieces that my kiln gods smiled upon (as opposed to "had their way with"). Also, canine entertainment (by 3 affectionate Basset Hounds), cider, wine, and my daughter's specialty drink of the year (and she is quite the "mixologist"). Come alone or bring along a D.D.  Come to browse or buy something unique, reasonably priced, and hand-made locally; or come for the food and drink . . . just come!

FYI:  My stoneware pottery is lead free, food safe, as well as freezer, microwave, dishwasher, and oven safe.

Shows participated in the past include:
*Arts in the Park in Belfast, ME  www.artsintheparkbelfast.org
*Colby College Pottery Sale (Waterville)
*New England Music Camp (Sidney)
*CMMC Craft Fair (Lewiston)
*Longfellow's Greenhouse - Fall Art Fair (Manchester)
*Hall-Dale H.S. (Farmingdale)

Welcome to Snow Pond Pottery!

I look forward to  sharing my love (addiction really) of the creative process involved with the making of stoneware pottery.
